Germany legal updates November 2025

Hey Schatzileins,

It’s that time again — your monthly round-up of everything changing in Germany.

November 2025 brings new laws, pay raises, and important reminders for anyone living, studying, or working here. Whether it’s higher wages, stricter payment rules, or the new nursing program, here’s everything you need to know to stay one step ahead.

New Nursing Assistant Training (Starts January 1, 2027)

Big news in the healthcare sector!

From January 1, 2027, Germany will launch a nationwide training program for nursing assistants (Pflegefachassistenz).

This reform replaces 27 different state-level programs, creating one unified, modern qualification.

What this means for you:

  • Easier job mobility across all German states

  • Simpler recognition of foreign qualifications

  • A stronger, more consistent standard of care
